ISM-CT Seminar:

Procurement Innovation and Sustainability: 'Decision Making for Environmentally Sustainable Supply Chain' earn 7.5 CEH

This seminar aims to provide participants with an understanding of the sustainability challenges and opportunities facing supply chain, procurement and business professionals and leaders. Environmental, social impact and economic development issues and next generation energy decisions open many innovative opportunities for procurement professionals. Product innovation can lead to first-mover advantage; environmental product differentiation can open new markets; renewable energy can be a key to social and economic prosperity for everyone, while green sourcing and waste reduction can reduce operating costs. At the same time, these opportunities present significant challenges, especially if your sustainability decision making strategy is not fully integrated into your supply chain or procurement process.

This seminar will provide case examples and strategies that supply chain, procurement and business professionals and leaders can use to make complex decisions while being sensitive to the environmental, social and economic concerns of their organizations and communities. We will examine many of the elements that are contributing to the adoption of sustainability strategies including social impacts, and society’s expectations of business in terms of health, human rights, and the environment.
