John Toto, C.P.M.,  ISM-CT President

Greetings!

I hope this New Year is progressing nicely for you!  We at ISM-CT sincerely hope your holiday season was a happy and safe one.

As we start a new year, we all begin to identify and plan to execute our goals for the coming year…..lots of new challenges and objectives to think about.  This of course includes personal development.  What do I need to learn to be more successful at my job?  What skills do I need to enhance to further my career?  What is going on in the Supply Management world that I need to understand?  These are questions we are all asking ourselves.  This is where ISM-CT can help.

Our organization is planning the schedule of seminars, workshops and events for the year, and we’ve got some great ones posted:

  • ISM-CT Annual Forum 2019- "DRIVE: Diversity, Risk, Innovation, Value, Ethics"

April 30, 2019
Anthony's Ocean View, New Haven

Our annual Forum scheduled for April 30 at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven will be one to attend!  The theme DRIVE: Diversity, Risk, Innovation, Value, Ethics is one that will include multiple speakers and cover topics for the supply management professional.  Those of you who have attended Forums in the past know what a great event this is.

As you think about your path forward this year and your development needs, please consider an ISM-CT event to facilitate your growth.  Several years ago, I was looking for such learning and development outlets.  Despite being a member of the organization, I had not attended any of the workshops or seminars.  One day I finally decided to pull the trigger and attend one, which made such an impression on me that I signed up for others.  Shortly after, I was sufficiently impressed that I volunteered for the ISM-CT Board of Directors, and today I am President.  It would not surprise me if you have a similar experience.  Please check out the Events section of our website.

I look forward to meeting you at one of our events!

Yours in Supply Management,

John Toto, C.P.M.
