“ADVANCED CONTRACT ISSUES: Strategic Considerations.”

This presentation will provide legal insights into strategic contract considerations, performance obligations and post-termination obligations.  Attendees will hear a detailed analysis of issues surrounding seeking adequate assurance of performance, dealing with defective products or timing problems.  Attendees will learn about the importance of key contract provisions dealing with representations, warranties, modification, indemnification and termination clauses. The panel will provide insight as to issues to consider at the beginning of contract negotiations in order to ensure that they are adequately protected in the event of breach or termination.

ROBERT E. KAELIN, is a partner with Murtha Cullina LLP practicing in the area of civil litigation and bankruptcy.  He holds a B.A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a J.D. degree from Duke University (1992).  Mr. Kaelin is a member of the Connecticut Bar and the Federal District Courts of Connecticut, Vermont and the Southern and Eastern District of New York.  He is also admitted to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Mr. Kaelin's commercial litigation practice focuses on business disputes, contract actions, Uniform Commercial Code actions and claims for tortious interference with business.  Mr. Kaelin's litigation practice includes work in both state and federal court.
